GOOD WHITE PEOPLE — The Holiday Sessions | Pineapple Lampshade
THANKSGIVING IS COMING. YOU STILL GET TO CHOOSE HOW YOU SHOW UP.

How do you want to feel on the drive home from Thanksgiving dinner?

THERE'S A QUESTION FOR YOU BELOW ↓

You're already dreading showing up. Already rehearsing your excuses. Already wondering how much of yourself you're going to swallow to get through it.

Thanksgiving dinner hasn't even started.

01 / AN HONEST QUESTION

When the room gets uncomfortable, what happens to you?

This isn't a test. Choose the response that feels familiar. No one else sees your answer; it's only used to change what appears on this page.

STAY WITH THAT

We don't do perfect. We do prepared.

WE DON'T DO PERFECT.
WE DO PREPARED.

Two live, facilitated experiences before Thanksgiving and again in December. One helps you find your voice. The other gives you practice using it to change the atmosphere.

02 / BEFORE THANKSGIVING — AND AGAIN IN DECEMBER

Where are you ready to begin?

Neither room demands perfection. Both demand your presence.

GWP 101 / PREPARATION

Find
Your Voice.

90 MINUTES  ·  $97

Direct registration · Live facilitated session

You have something to say. So why does it keep getting stuck in your throat?

Your convictions are waiting for you to show up. Your body has other ideas. Here, we examine the feelings, fears, and loyalties that make your voice disappear when you need it.

  • Recognize what happens inside you when a conversation gets uncomfortable.
  • Name what you're protecting when you silence yourself.
  • Practice saying what you mean without apologizing for having something to say.
  • Begin using your voice while staying connected to yourself.

You don't need to become the loudest person at Thanksgiving. You need to stop becoming the smallest version of yourself.

Atmosphere.

I'M READY TO CHANGE THE ROOM ↗

Choose November 15 or December 13 on the application · 4:00–6:00 PM EST · 12 seats per session · Payment after acceptance

You're ready to say something. Now get ready for what happens next.

You love these people. You want to keep loving them. You want to interrupt racism and still feel calm enough to pass somebody the gravy afterward.

Somebody gets defensive. Somebody questions your motives. Everybody looks at you. Now what?

  • Practice authentic interruption—not canned lines to memorize.
  • Respond when someone challenges you or your authority.
  • Stay present when you want to explain, rescue, retreat, or shut down.
  • Use questions, boundaries, and your authority to shift the dynamic.

You don't have to win an argument to change what happens in the room. You don't have to argue.

03 / PEOPLE WHO WERE IN THE ROOM

They'd already read the books.
This hit different.

“I've read the books, I've been trained in the right vocab but what Dr. June created is a one-of-a-kind experience.”

JASMINE KRAMER · COHORT 1

“I've read all the books, attended all the trainings, but this hit different.”

HILLARY HARRELL-MOECKLI · COHORT 1
JASMINE · RUPTURE & REPAIR

Hear what the work felt like in the room.

KELLAN · STAYING WITH DISCOMFORT

Hear a participant reflect on practicing under pressure.

These comments describe the four-week GOOD WHITE PEOPLE Cohort 1 experience. The Holiday Sessions are shorter, separate live offerings.

04 / THE DRIVE HOME STARTS WITH WHAT YOU PRACTICE NOW

Same family.
More choices.
Different you.

Come prepared to find your voice—or practice changing the room.
